3 killed in collision between CNG and pickup in Dhamrai

Three people were killed when a pickup collided with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw on Kalampur-Saturia-Nagpur road in Dhamrai upazila of Dhaka on Thursday.


The deceased were identified as Akhi Akter, daughter of Abul Hossain of Isapur village, Zakaria Hossain, son of Jashim Uddin of Sadar upazila in Tangail district, and Jewel Hossain, driver of the auto-rickshaw.

Ilias Hossain, in-charge of Kawalipara Bazar police camp, said the two vehicles collided at Nandeshwari in the evening.

Following the collision, the three-wheeler got twisted and plunged into the roadside ditch, leaving two people dead on the spot and its driver injured, reports UNB.

Later, the injured was taken to Saturia Upazila Health Complex in Manikganj district, where doctors declared him dead.
