Two bikers killed after being run over by bus in Faridpur

Two motorcyclists were killed after being hit by a passenger-bus at the roundabout in the Bhanga Interchange area of the district at around 11am today.


The deceased were Ratul Sardar, 17, son of Shahadat Sardar of Jandi village under Tujarpur Union of Bhanga upazila, and Raju Matubbar, 20, son of Khokon Matubbar of Fukurhati village under neighboring Nurullaganj Union.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bhanga Highway Police Station Md. Helal Uddin confirmed the incident legal proceedings in connection with the incident are underway.

He said a bus ran over the moving motorcycle leaving Ratul and his friend Raju critically injured.

They were rescued and taken to Bhanga Upazila Health Complex. As their condition deteriorated, physicians referred them to Dhaka for advanced treatment but they died on the way, reports BSS.

Ratul's parents had bought him a new motorcycle just three days ago.
