CNG driver killed in Dhaka road crash

A CNG-run auto-rickshaw driver was killed when a bus hit his vehicle in Farmgate area of the capital on Wednesday.


The deceased was identified as Mamun Farazi, son of Shikdar Farazi of Siddhirganj in Narayanganj district.

The accident occurred around noon when a bus of ‘Labbaik Paribahan’ hit the CNG-run auto-rickshaw, leaving the driver injured, said Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Tejgaon Zone) Akkas Ali.

He was taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where doctors declared him dead around 1pm.

On information, police seized the bus but could not arrest its driver as he managed to flee the scene, reports UNB.
