Two workers die from electrocution in Lakshmipur

Two workers died from electrocution while working at a brick kiln in Sutargopta of Sadar Upazila in Lakshmipur district on Thursday.


The deceased were identified as Rubel, 30 and Alauddin, 35, residents of Charbhuta village in the upazila.

Both Rubel and Alauddin came into contact with a live electric wire and fell unconscious while working at M/s NBAC Brickfield around 1:30pm, said Wahed Parvez, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station.

They were later taken to Kamalnagar Upazila Health Complex, where doctors declared them dead, reports BSS. 

“Legal action will be taken in this regard,” said OC.
