Prince Al Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal, widely known as Saudi Arabia’s “Sleeping Prince,” has passed away after remaining in a coma for nearly 20 years following a car accident in 2005.
He was the nephew of billionaire investor Prince Alwaleed bin Talal. Since his hospitalization, he had been on life support, with occasional signs of movement that gave hope to his family and followers.
His family announced his death on social media, expressing deep sorrow and confirming that his funeral will be held in Riyadh.
Over the years, Prince Al Waleed became a symbol of perseverance and faith for many in the Arab world. Videos shared by his family, including one where he appeared to move his fingers, sparked widespread emotional responses.
